This project started in 1999 and was completed just in the nick of time for the March 2007 Detroit, Michigan Autorama Car Show. It took over 8,000 hours to transform the car into an award winning showpiece. Wild Thang won top Great 8 Honors at the show and was Tom's first entry into the Detroit Autorama competition! Spec to Wild Thang:
Frame Designed and Fabricated by Tom capable of accommodating 800 + H.P.
Front and Rear Suspension Engineered using Corvette parts Converted to Air Ride.
Air Compressor and Tank stored in rear fenders.
Powered by a Polished LS 7, 550+ H.P. using a 4L80E Modified 2500 Stall Transmission Polished.
The Rear Body Re-contoured with
Rounded Trunk Corners to fit flush w/the body w/a 360 degree Drip Rail.
Custom Gas Door and Custom Tail Lights.
Pneumatic Trunk and Hood Open and Close. Doors are Remote w/Concealed Hinges.
Extensive Work Reinforcing Door Pillars.
Rear of Car Widened % inch. Wheel Well Opened and Re-arched.
Front of Rear Fenders Re-arched at Quarter Panel. Louvered Rock Guards in inner fenders.
New 'B' pillar to accommodate Horse Power.
Floor Channeled in rear 3 inches and Tubed, Floor Ribs added for Reinforcement with
